Akuma Tsuihousha Bankai Form

Sayo Hayabusa's zanpakutou in Bankai form, my Bleach OC. Akuma Tsuihousha, or Demon Outcast.

Her weapon is a shadow(darkness?)/illusion based zanpakutou. It's extremely powerful, but at the cost of being highly unstable.

It's visual manifestation while passive is a tall, sickly-pale, veiled lady with long inky-black hair and eyes. She wears a rather revealing outfit of black, has long pointed ears lined with ruby or silver hoops and studs (reminiscent of the pierced blade,) her biggest trademark are the "seagull" like wings, lined with red, "porthole-eyes" (though in this stage, they are closed save for three). (Also note, while in bankai state these wings also become formed on Sayo's back, though smaller.) In this form, "she" talks even less then her wielder, and remains a rather impassive, and emotionless figure.

Sayo manifested her zanpakutou Akuma Tsuihousha on "accident" while being chased by three hollows who had eaten her parents after the three were killed in a fire; said manifestation, confused by her sudden awakening existence into the world, slew the hollows with her "shadow tails" and nearly decided to slay Sayo herself, but instead showed mercy when the little girl fled to her arms for safety. (Sayo as a frightened four year-old, beleived the manifestation to be her "mother".) Because of this, her own zanpakutou eventually developed a incredibly fierce, maternal love for its charge. So strong in fact, to the point when another wandering (but friendly) ghost accidently injured Sayo, Akuma Tsuihousha nearly "killed it" again.

For many years, Sayo haunted the mountainside of her birth under her "mother's" protection; using her powers of illusions to drive away any humans (or spirits) with horrific images to the point where the whole area was deemed "under demonic influences". The Leader eventually tracked her down, and after a intense battle and kind words, recruited Sayo.

Since then, Sayo has learned to contain most of her "mother's" over-protective tendencies and powers. Unlike most shinigami, who do not get along with their zanpakutou well, or have to train and subdue them, Sayo and her weapon have an intensely close bond from years of companionship and as such, Akuma Tsuihousha gave it's powers for Sayo's use freely. Because of this, Sayo was able to complete bankai in an incredibly short amount of time, (just a week after her completion of shikai, in fact.) and is one of the strongest people in the Elite.

Perhaps from years of being manifested freely, Akuma Tsuihousha still retains a certain level of independence and can even forcefully manifest herself to protect Sayo if she feels she is in danger. This has led some of Sayo's colleague's to joke about her being the only person with "a second bankai". Akuma's being able to act independently however, has caused trouble for Sayo in the past, particularly when Sayo first joined the group and had to re-learn how to associate with people.

If Akuma Tsuihousha becomes "Enraged", the scales tip in favor of Sayo's hollow side. It's manifestation changes to the very essence of a shadowy figure, absorbing light. Its face is similiar to Sayo's mask, save for having no visible detail and only an outline, except for large "porthole-eyes" of red. The eyes along the wings also open, and bladelike feathers jut out as like its heavy-blade form in this state.
This other persona has an obsessive, selfishly protective "love" to the point where if not contained by Sayo, it will "consume" her and go on a rampage to destroy everything it deems a threat to its wielder. Which is pretty much anything alive. Sayo has lost control only twice, but both results were catastrophic and even had some casualties. While possible to recover Sayo from this state, it is incredibly difficult and on both occasions, a Lesser Shugoshin and the Leader's strength combined were needed to contain and finally extract her from the raging zanpakutou.

Has two states, each with pros and cons. "Passive" is much easier to control, but only uses about 1/3 of the power. "Enraged" allows mazimum power, but is incredibly difficult to control, especially if user loses focus. If the aforementioned happens, the zanpakutou "consumes" its user and go on a rampage, as mentioned above.
